DISSERTATION ABSTRACT
Please read and follow these instructions!

Provide a 1-page abstract of your Ph.D. dissertation. All abstracts must be in English. When printed, the complete abstract must fit within a 6.5" x 9" area (16.5 cm x 22.9 cm) -- this works out to 1" margins using 8.5" x ll" paper, using Times/Roman font, 12 point or equivalent.

Paragraphs should be single spaced. Leave a blank line between paragraphs. Do not indent the first line.

AVOID using special characters (e.g., use micro-m instead of µm; 10^4 for 10 to the fourth power; 10^-4 for 10 to the minus four power; H2O or water for H2O.)

Web and e-mail addresses: If you have material on a website, you are encouraged to include a sentence at the bottom of the page, saying something like: "More information is available at http://your.address.com/."

You may also include your e-mail address, but are advised to do so only if you expect the address to remain active for at least 1 year.

Please check all data before submitting your form!
