PhD recipients whose work pertains to climate change and its impacts are encouraged to submit their dissertation abstract using the interactive form below. Dissertations will be posted on line in a fully searchable format.

Once registered, you will automatically added to the weekly DISCCRS electronic newsletter. The newsletter includes professional resources, news articles, plus job and other announcements of interest to early career scientists with a strong interdisciplinary focus on climate change, impacts and solutions. The full community is invited to submit job and other announcements of potential interest. Send notices to: disccrs@whitman.edu.

Please read and follow these instructions!

Provide a 1-page abstract of your Ph.D. dissertation. All abstracts must be in English. There is a 3200 character limit, which works out to about a 6.5" x 8.5" area (16.5 cm x 20 cm) using Times/Roman 12 point or equivalent font.

Paragraphs should be single spaced. Leave a blank line between paragraphs. Do not indent the first line.

AVOID using special characters (e.g., use micro-m instead of µm; 10^4 for 10 to the fourth power; 10^-4 for 10 to the minus four power; H2O or water for H2O.)

Selection will favor applicants who plan to engage in interdisciplinary research careers in any subject within or relevant to climate change
and its impacts. A committee will select 36 participants based on the submitted applications.
